They use 2 x CR2032 Batteries which are included and are already installed. These batteries are replaceable! These LED lights are available in a variety of great colors. They are about 1.25 Inches in diameter by about 1.00 Inch high, and therefore fit standard Tea Light Holders. That's why they are often called Submersible Tea Lights.
The submersible light can be turned on or off by twisting the base of the unit. The battery life of the lighting unit is 36 to 48 hours. Batteries are included.
